Just wanted to say to you both thanks again for allowing us to have the best day! Larchfield was so stunning and is extra special to us and some of our guests as my nanny and granda lived at Rose Cottage. Our guests are still commenting how great the food and service was. Jim and everyone who helped us at larchfield prior to the day and Peter and Jonathan at Old Barn were so so helpful and made it so easy to plan despite covid restrictions.
We had the absolute best day and we are so grateful for all the help that you gave to us both on the lead up to the day, and on the day itself! Wish we could do it all over again! |
We can't thank the team at Larchfield enough! From our first visit we fell in love, the venue, grounds and accommodation are all beautiful and exactly what we had hoped for for a relaxed and personal day. We couldn't wait to share it with our friends and family.
Planning a winter wedding we really liked the fact that the indoor space was so atmospheric and cosy, along with the amazing greenhouse which was great on a showery day so we could still enjoy the gardens. The whole team were so accommodating throughout the planning process, even with last minute changes due to covid and the many questions that we had. We would have been lost without Sarah who went above and beyond in helping to navigate the ever changing guidelines and was such a star at keeping us up to date.
In an extremely stressful time for all the team you still managed to deliver a fantastic service and your communication with our vendors really took so much pressure of us.
When the day arrived we, and our friends and family, were completely blown away. The piggery was such a beautiful space for our ceremony and the barn definitely was brought the 'wow' factor for the evening. Everyone (particularly the little guests) really made the most of the stunning outdoor space. In what was a strange time to say the least, Jim done a fantastic job at welcoming everyone to Larchfield and ensuring everyone felt comfortable throughout the day and everything ran so smoothly.
All that we had planned with our amazing vendors came together so well, we had perfect day!
Thank you all so much we had the best day and couldn't recommend Larchfield Estate highly enough. We would do it again tomorrow if we could and can't wait to get back to stay!

Wedding planning certainly wasn’t an easy ride for us. We went from a wedding in Greece, to Belfast in May, to October and then to being left to frantically change venue 12 days before! However, our first call with laura on the Saturday was pleasant and very helpful. We visited an our later and booked in.
We actually couldn’t imagine our wedding anywhere else now – things worked our well. Laura and Katherine couldn’t have been more helpful on the day or during the run up. You really helped to make a pandemic wedding, somehow feel stress free.
We had the best day and so did all our guests. We can’t thank you all enough!

We had our wedding booked for the end of March 2020 and from the moment we met in Sept 19 to view the venue, the entire team have been nothing short of fantastic! Their customer service is second to none, they are attentive, and nothing is too much to ask of them. When lockdown happened and we had to postpone our wedding just 12 days beforehand, the team could not have been more supportive. We cannot imagine the pressures the last number of months have put on them as a business and as individuals, but they never let it dampen their spirits. There were many stages we were unsure if our second date was going to go ahead due to guidelines etc but the team constantly reached out, were proactive getting in touch with updates and letting us know what they were doing behind the scenes (it was a lot!) Thankfully our wedding did go ahead in August and it was so much more than we could have imagined! The venue was beautiful, and everything was so well organised with all suppliers, the measures put in place to ensure safety did not hinder the day in any way! Our guests had an amazing time and if you are planning a wedding or special event (or even a staycation, the accommodation and grounds are stunning) this is the venue and team for you! "Right from the start we knew that Larchfield was the venue for us! It is amazing how the barn completely transforms into a magical wedding venue. We loved the laid back feel and the fact that we could put our own stamp on it. We also fell in love with Rose Cottage and will definitely be back to stay again.
We both love the Autumn time and the gardens around Larchfield are stunning in Autumn and provided the perfect backdrop for our photographs. An added bonus was that we wanted to go to South Africa on our honeymoon and it is their summer at that time of year.
Neither of us are particularly great planners so it was an effort at times to sit down at focus after a long day at work.....! Luckily Larchfield staff provided a really helpful list of rated Suppliers that really did make such a difference to us when it came to researching options. By the end of it James had become rather attached to his 'wedding spreadsheet'!"
