Perhaps your planning has taken a slight pause, or you may be recently engaged and keen to get the ball rolling! It can be hard to know how to proceed for the best just now, however it is important to keep in mind that normality will resume. Goodness, planning such a fun-filled and happy event may just be the perfect distraction just now! Whilst weddings are currently unable to take place, many suppliers continue to work from home, and so this really is the perfect time to have their undivided attention, to ask those detailed questions, and chat through your dream plans to the tee.
Our team are dotted around various dining room tables across the County, whilst Gavin and Sarah (owners) are of course still living and working onsite (someone has to look after the alpacas!). We continue to work normal hours, with access to our emails and phone lines redirected to our mobiles. With no events currently taking place, we are hard at work on everything behind the scenes that makes Larchfield Estate the truly special place that it is, and we would love to spend as much time as you need chatting you through all you would like know via phone or video calls.

For those of you beginning your wedding journey, this selection of videos & photos will transport you to the heart of Larchfield Estate, allowing you to experience the venue and gardens. On a typical private viewing, we would spend around 1 hour walking around the venue with you, whilst discussing your wedding plans – all of which can easily take place during a call. What is most important to you on the day? Is there anything you really don’t like or would like to avoid? And we always love to hear a good engagement tale!! We spend this time trying to get to know you as a couple, and to understand how we can help you create your most memorable day with us at Larchfield Estate. Each and every wedding day at the estate is personalised and unique, it’s your day! Our team love coming up with lots of ways to do this, helping if you are feeling a little overwhelmed, stuck or simply don’t know where to start!
Whilst in person viewings and meetings are of course on hold for a little while, we have plenty of time for phone and video calls, as will so many of the other suppliers and vendors out there who you may like to chat with. Take advantage of the unexpected time wedding suppliers have on their hands during what would typically be their peak season, delve into their expertise! We even have a black book of great suppliers often with discounts for Larchfield Estate couples. You can also do lots of research on websites, social media, and check out online reviews!
At Larchfield Estate we are committed to keeping up to date on both government and industry guidelines and advice around COVID-19, allowing us to continue supporting our couples as best as possible. We are involved with a number of advisory groups and consortiums, as well as following a range of weekly and daily newsletters in order to keep us best informed about both legal guidelines, and best practice. Some examples include: Historic Houses (whom are in regular contact with government ministers), Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council Business Support, Women In Business, Allen Fleming Accountants advice on govt. guidelines and weekly online conferences with a group of NI CEO's to name a few.
